USPS Summer Barcode Promotion

Here are a few more details on the USPS Summer Postage Sale we’ve hinted about. The promotions is scheduled to run from July through August. You can begin registration on May 1.
The 2012 Mobile Commerce and Personalization Promotion will provide business mailers with an upfront 2% postage discount on Standard and First-Class letters, flats, and cards that include a 2-D barcode or a QR Code.
The promotion also specifies that the barcode must lead the recipient to either:
1) a webpage that allows the recipient to purchase a product or service on a mobile device
2) a personalized URL, which leads to a web page that is unique to an individual recipient.
